Saturday’s home match with Crawley Down fell foul to the appauling weather conditions the area has seen in the past week.

Mullet’s chairman Bob Marchant had hoped the game would go ahead after volunteers put in hours of work attempting to reduce the amount of water on the Mill Road pitch and it was even given the green light by a local referee at a 12pm pitch inspection but the match officials who arrived at 2pm had a walk on it and made the decision the surface would have been unsafe for the players and called the game off.
