Crawley Down match postponed
March 29th, 2010Tonights Sussex County League Division 1 match with Crawley down has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Mill Road.
The pitch has struggled to recover from the large amounts of rain in the area a couple of weeks ago and despite a lot of work by ground staff more rain in the last 48 hours has left it impossible to get the game ahead.
The club hope that the surface will recover in time for Hailsham Town’s visit to Mill Road on Saturday to avoid a build up in an already congested fixture list for the remainder of the season, although the forecast for the rest of the week is not encouraging.
